1. Athens/ Starting point

The journey from Athens to Delphi will take approximately 3 hours, including a stop for refreshments and restroom use.

2. Ancient Sanctuary Apollo of Delfi

Delphi was considered the center of the world in ancient Greek religion and mythology. The primary attraction at the site is the sanctuary dedicated to the god Apollo, the patron deity of Delphi. The sanctuary features several important structures, including the Temple of Apollo, where the famous Oracle of Delphi prophesied.

3. Temple of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo was a grand Doric-style temple where the Oracle of Delphi delivered her prophecies. Although the temple is mostly in ruins today, visitors can still see the remains of its columns and foundations, giving a sense of its former grandeur.

4. Theater of Delphi

5. The ancient Gymnasium

The Stadium of Delphi is located higher up on the hillside and could accommodate about 6,500 spectators. It was used for athletic competitions during the Pythian Games, which were held at Delphi every four years in honor of Apollo. Visitors can walk along the stadium's track and imagine the ancient athletes competing below.

6. Museum of Delphi
